Welcome to the ENLIGHTENMENT Trivia Night, in which you play a thematic game each time, and also play for a great cause.
Because spring has sprung, the flowers are blooming, and it’s warm enough for us to plant summer fruits and veggies, this month’s trivia questions will be all about gardening. Come find out how I’ll incorporate “green thumbs” and “dirty hoes” into questions on geography, history, science, sports and pop culture.
The great cause you’ll be supporting is Three Sisters Gardens, a nonprofit in West Sacramento that inspires and empowers youth through gardening, teaching them how to grow, harvest and distribute organic vegetables in their local area. Three Sisters also manages four gardens in West Sac (with a tree nursery in Sacramento coming soon) and its seasonal Community Supported Agriculture program, which gives paying members a weekly box of fresh, organic vegetables, is about to start up again.
Registration fee to play is $10, with all proceeds going to Three Sisters Gardens.
Garden-focused prizes go to the 1st and 2nd place winners.
Teams of up to 6 people. And don’t worry about coming solo — we’ll pair you with other people to make up a great team.
I’ll provide a few drinks and snacks, but please feel free to BYO.
