Hi, it’s Vanessa, your ENLIGHTENMENT host.
I just got my Primary Election ballot in the mail, so it’s time to figure out how to vote before June 2. Are you like me and unfamiliar with many candidates running for state offices? Not sure what that local measure actually does? Before you mail your ballot or take it to the polling booth, bring it to the ENLIGHTENMENT Salon and join me and The Sacramento Bee’s political team for drinks and a deep-dive discussion into the California Primary Election. We have two reporters who will break down the top-two primary system, the high-stakes races for statewide offices, and the local contests that impact your daily life in the Sacramento region.
OUR GUESTS:
Mathew Miranda, political reporter for The Bee’s Capitol Bureau, covering how decisions in Washington, D.C., affect the lives of Californians
Ben Paviour, California Political Power Reporter for the Bee’s Capitol Bureau
Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 for students. I’ll provide some drinks and snacks; BYO is very much encouraged.
Sign up to attend by registering at our Eventbrite link here.
Also, some voter logistics for you:
